I had a certain leery sensation when I stumbled across Whoopi Goldberg’s Is It Just Me? Or is it nuts out there? Don’t get me wrong. I like Whoopi Goldberg. But way back in the darkest of dark ages when the world was young (okay… it was 1997!), I remember unpacking a book that the publisher thought was a slam dunk best seller.

And I also remember sticking the huge roll of 50% stickers on my wrist like a bracelet and smacking those things ALL OVER Book within weeks. So any wonder my brain was all “Danger danger DANGER”. Not every comedian can write something awesome even if I love them to death.

Is It Just Me? reads like having one of those “why are people so damnable rude?” conversations you have with friends and coworkers. If you have an ounce of common sense, civility or decency you will be nodding your head and thinking “cosign that”. And the best bit of all?

One of Blacklight’s friends, the one we call Team Leader Ash after an EPIC Paranoia game session, is a TSA agent. He flinches and moans if you mention something you saw or read about the TSA. Could be because so many things aren’t pro-TSA. So when I handed Team Leader Ash Is It Just Me? and pointed to page 55 (TSA Does Not Mean Time to Smart Ass), he was a bit leery. And then he started to smile. And cried out “SHE LIKES US!”.

So Is It Just Me?  is pure win on that section alone. Read it already!
